Punk rock taught me the DIY ethos: if the venue won't book you, book the basement. Skateboarding taught me the loop: try, slam, adjust, land. Partner marketing is both — you ship the launch with what you have, measure what happened, and roll again. Somewhere along the way I also inherited a centuries-old family wax seal, which turned out to be the perfect metaphor for the job: nothing goes out with the family name on it until it's earned the stamp.
